Gallery1515 was established in 2016 by Sarvenaz Amanat as an exhibition space and commercial art gallery in the South Granville area of Vancouver. The gallery exhibits emerging and established local and international artists with unique and innovative art practices.

​Sarvenaz Amanat is an educator, visual artist, composer, and founder of Gallery1515. She is also a Senior Educator at the Vancouver Art Gallery where she has worked from 2009. From 2017-2019 she was a radio co-host for When Spirit Whispers on Vancouver Co-op Radio.

In the past, she worked at Leslie Hindman Auctioneers in Chicago and as a museum educator at the Art Institute of Chicago. She holds an undergraduate degree in Art History from McGill University and a master’s degree in Art History, Theory, and Criticism from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
