CLOAKED

Amir Aziz is a multi-disciplinary artist who explores the intersection of art and technology, in light of the Iranian artistic tradition.  An accomplished digital art and multimedia producer, his diverse body of work has been exhibited across Canada and in the United States, as well as in Hong Kong at the Art Gallery of SIGGRAPH Asia.  Amir holds a masters degree in Interactive Art + Technology from Simon Fraser University, in the area of mixed reality immersion and sacred space. He currently lives and works in Vancouver.

Aileen Bahmanipour studied her BFA in Painting at the Tehran University of Art and is currently studying her MFA at the University of British Columbia. Aileen Bahmanipour’s interdisciplinary practice spans from installation to painting and video based works. Bahmanipour explores issues of cyclical political power and personal identity connected to personal mythologies that she experienced in Iran. In her practice, Bahmanipour positions truth within unending patterns of construction and deconstruction so as to examine hybrid dialogues between Western and Eastern perspectives, ultimately in search of deconstructing cultural truths.
